More than Words®
LC Speech Pathology is proud to offer More than Words® via telepractice - a program from The Hanen Centre.
This program offers training in a group setting for parents of preschool-aged children who are autistic or may benefit from social communication support.
This program is evidence based and delivers a high quality learning experience for parents with an experienced facilitator. The program follows a naturalistic approach where activities support your child's strengths and interests and fit into your daily routines.
You will learn:
- What motivates your child to communicate.
- How to use your knowledge about your child's strengths to set appropriate and realistic goals.
- How to make interactions with your child last longer.
- Strategies for how to talk so that your child understands you.

LC Speech Pathology is based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. However, as this program will be taking place via telepractice - you can participate from anywhere in Australia.

About Me
Hi! My name is Laura and I am a paediatric speech pathologist.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) from Australian Catholic University in 2018.
Since then, I have been working with children and their families to build their communication skills. I have previously provided services through private practice and have experience in areas of language, social communication, speech sounds, fluency, alternative and augmentative communication and literacy.
I have a particular passion for working with preschool aged children and equipping their parents to support them in developing their skills.
I am an instructor for The Hanen Centre®, who leads training workshops for SLPs around the world in the More Than Words® approach.
I love spending time with my husband and son, being outside walking or at the playground. I also spend my time doing lots of cooking, especially baking bread!
